- You can just see the top of the 'Big Sky Motel' sign through the window. I remember when I was 8 or 9 my parents converted to a Best Western franchise. One day some guys with a crane came to remove that sign and put up the Best Western sign. They got the old sign off the pole (maybe 15 feet up), and were lowering it to the ground when it slipped and dropped all the way down.
